A couple of us decided to venture up to Delhi, La. to check out the Rooster’s Country Bar MudJam. This was the first event held on the 1600 acre farm / wildlife ranch in Delhi, La. The property borders a large field that’s home to Rooster’s Country Bar, one of the coolest bars you’ll ever see.
I’m not real sure how many people attended but I would guess that it was close to 2000 or 2500. I could be way off though. There was ATVs and UTVs of every size and color. There must have been nearly a hundred Polaris Razrs here.
All in all, it was a great ride. The staff was very nice. All the attendees were gracious and kept their trash to themselves and didn’t throw it out on the property. There was mechanics on site that fixed just about anything you could bring by including tires that were torn off the rims. There was plenty of room to ride and plenty of mud to keep you busy. However, being the first event of this type there, there is some improvement to be made. One would be to setup a wash station ofr these muddy bikes and riders.
They’re having another ride here on October 10, 11, and 12th during The Bayou Bash 2008. There’ll be a screamin’ safari tour, the ATV ride, and Bucky Covington will be performing live. You can find out more about the event at www.thebayoubash.com. Check it out.
